Today and Forever

I Corinthians 11:11
11 Nevertheless neither is the man without the woman, neither the woman without the man, in the Lord.
On television and in movies we often hear the person officiating a marriage ceremony repeat the phrase "until death do you part". Does the relationship between man and wife really only last until one or the other dies? Are we not together as husband and wife in the here-after?

During the Easter season we remember the resurrection of the Savior and the hope it gives for a better here-after. For me, that hope includes being with my beloved companion for all eternity. As it says in Corinthians, "neither is the man without the woman". When the time comes that one of us passes on, that parting is not forever. Instead, it is just a sort time until we can be together forever.

OK well if we think about by what the bible says then we need to look understand that we will not be married in Heaven. if you really know your bible then look it up and try next time not to take things out of context.

i strongly agree that if two persons really love each other, then our loving Heavenly Father will not let death separate them apart. marriage in Heaven is possible with the proper authorities that have been handed down to those who are worthy to represent God.

Marriage on Television

arroyo TV Originally uploaded by reddirtrose . I had a couple of separate thoughts come together today. The first thought was about the number boys that are growing up in homes without fathers. There are so many single mothers either due to divorce, death, fathers abandoning their families and children concieved out of wedlock. Some sources say that as many as 50% of children will spend at least part of their childhood with only one parent. As wonderful as mothers and women are, boys want and need a male role model to show them how a man acts. When there is not a father to provide this role model, it must come from somewhere else. If that role model is to come from TV, I would be hard pressed to name one that I like. The second thought come from working on getting my book ready for printing.
